The B2 Mini-Kit is mix of individual syringes selected to blend with Vita, Vita Pan 3-D and Bioform shades and used for luting veneers, crowns, inlays and onlays.
The dominant shade composite is B2 (Light Yellow Grey). The modifying shade is (A4) Dark Yellow. By combining these shades a wide range of B2-B4 shades can be matched. (See Basic shading direction below.)
The bonding system is in unit-of-use packaging that may be sent out by the laboratory with each fabricated restoration or purchased by dentists for use with each individual patient
Unit-of-use packaging eliminates cross contamination and inventory problems for the lab and dentist.
Basic Shading Directions
1. Select luting composite according to the shade tab requirements. In most cases, a kit will contain a dominant hue composite and a modifying hue composite. The dominant hue may be the only shade composite required.
2. If a try-in indicates a need to alter the composite shade, add the modifying hue composite for the shade selected until the mixed composite closely matches the cervical 1/3 of the shade tab.
3. Because tooth color, thickness and opacity of restoration affects the final shade, it may be necessary to further adjust the composite mix lighter or darker accordingly. When catalyst is added, the shade will be slightly lighter. Do not use catalyst for restorations that will allow light through for polymerization, such as laminate veneers. (Catalyst should be added in approximate equal parts to composite, just prior to inserting the restoration.)
