MINI-KIT REFILL SYRINGES
The Multi-Bond Composite Resin Cement System is a specially formulated light cure, dual cure, and chemical cure low viscosity luting resin for use with veneers, crowns, inlays, onlays, bridges, metal posts, PFM crowns and metal crowns.
Although the Universal Kit (Mini or Standard) is primarily for crowns, inlays, onlays or laminate veneers not requiring shade adjustment, all kits can be used for any of the above mentioned restorations. If using a total etch system, also use the dentin/enamel primer adhesive. Whether porcelain primer is needed is dependent upon the type of restoration and whether the lab silanates the restoration. (See Restoration Selection and Cementation Guide)
The composite is compatible with all light and dual cure products.
The unfilled resin (Bonding Agent) has been formulated for enamel surfaces, however it may be used on combination dentin/enamel surfaces when laminate veneering or as a adhesive on a silanated restoration. A small quantity of enamel bonding agent may be added to the base composite to adjust its viscosity. (Do not adjust catalyst)
Addition of Porcelain Primer (silane) provides a chemical bond between a porcelain /ceramic surface and the composite cement.
NOTE: Zirconia core or aluminous core restorations should NOT be treated with porcelain primer, unless the core surface has been treated with RF plasma spraying (hexamethyldisiloxane) or Rocatec (3-M) treatment, by tribochemical reaction, which coats the surface of the zirconia with small particles of silicium oxide. These will bind to the silanization agent and establish a chemical bond to the restoration and the adhesive resin cement.
Addition of dual cure catalyst will convert the composite to a dual or self cure system. Addition of the Confi-Quick One Part Dentin-Enamel Primer /Adhesive gives confidence when bonding to both dentin and enamel surfaces when bonding crowns, inlays, onlays and bridges.
The composite is a hybrid variety resin with an optimal amount of submicron filler between the macro filler. Masking characteristics are enhanced and it provides life-like vitality under varying lighting conditions.
Because of it's thixotropic nature, the composite has favorable handling characteristics. A fluoride release composite that is also radiopaque.
